The Ministry of Labor has released the list of companies with more than 1,000 employees of Gender Equality Professional Index which assesses inequalities between women and men in companies.

For companies with at least 50 employees, it has become mandatory to publish its index since March 1, 2020.

The pay equity index is based on 5 main criteria in the form of a score out of 100:

  1. Pay gap between women and men /40 points
  2. Spread of the individual increases /20 points
  3. Distribution gap between promotions /15 points
  4. Nmber of employees increased upon return from maternity leave /15 points
  5. Parity between the 10 highest remunerations within the company /10 points.

Deveryware posts a rate of 90/100 while private security companies stagnate below 75 out of 100, a risky threshold for the companies concerned. Indeed, they are under the threat of a fine of 1% of the payroll if they do not rectify the situation by 2022 … A tribute all the more heavy to bear when you know that it is annual !

According to the latest data from the Inequalities Monitor, men are paid 22.8% more than women in France, for the same work, all jobs combined. There are many reasons for this: part-time work mainly requested by women, returns from maternity leave, glass ceiling for positions of responsibility, etc.

This index is not supposed to represent an additional statistic proving the wage disparity between women and men but constitutes the first step towards a grid of evaluation of all the companies on the same criteria.

Deveryware is committed to advancing the advancement of women within its organization and in the area of security. Deveryware: Committed to better equality
